Did you know that it takes about 2,000
silkworm cocoons to make one silk dress, or that silk was
discovered in China about 4,600 years ago? Whatever it is, there's
something about silk that always makes a person feel special whenever
they put it on. In recent years, silk garments have grown in popularity
and are available at many price levels. Whatever the cost, fabrics made
from silk fiber demand special care. Understanding silk's
characteristics will help you to maintain and extend the
life of your silk garments and accessories.
Our
many years' experience in the fabricare industry makes it possible for
us to safely remove most stains from your silk garments. To assist us
in keeping your silks looking 'fine' please remember:
- Do not rub any area of the silk
garment to remove a stain
- If an area is wet with alcohol or
other liquid, only lightly pat the area to remove the dampness
- Do not spray perfumes while wearing
silk garments (the alcohol content can remove dyes)
- Bring the stained garment to us as
soon as possible, and identify any stained areas to our customer
service representatives
